A server, also known as a host, is a device that provides computing services. Since servers need to respond to service requests and perform processing, they generally must have the capability to handle and ensure the provision of these services. The composition of a server includes processors, hard drives, memory, system buses, and other components similar to general computer architecture. However, due to the need to provide highly reliable services, servers have higher requirements in terms of processing power, stability, reliability, security, scalability, and manageability. In a network environment, servers are categorized into different types based on the services they provide, such as file servers, database servers, application servers, and web servers.
