Jinan Shengquan: Graphene + Apparel! Technological Innovation Turns Stone into Gold
Tang Yilin also conducted a live demonstration of a newly developed constant temperature heat-retaining fiber in the laboratory. "This fiber can ensure that the temperature does not drop quickly, extending the insulation time and achieving a heat-retention effect," Tang Yilin explained. It is called constant temperature because if a person moves from indoors to outdoors in winter, there is a significant temperature change, and this fiber can maintain a constant temperature for a period of time. Similarly, in summer, this fiber can maintain a constant temperature, preventing discomfort or illness caused by temperature fluctuations.
In addition, Shengquan Group is actively developing graphene-modified supercapacitors and batteries, hoping to achieve widespread application of biomass graphene in battery materials and capacitor materials. "Currently, the laboratory's graphene anti-corrosion materials have reached over 5000 hours, and we are now striving to achieve even higher anti-corrosion records. The ultimate peak we can reach is still unknown," said Tang Yilin.
In the future, the industrial application of Shengquan's graphene will also focus on intelligent clothing, medical supplies, high-strength, and high-modulus fibers. "We are committed to innovative research, maximizing the functionality of graphene, allowing people to experience the convenience and health benefits brought by graphene in their daily lives."
"Innovation is the soul and lifeline of Shengquan's development, and the field of composite new materials is the main direction of Shengquan Group's transformation and development," said Tang Yilin. For more than 30 years, Shengquan has emphasized the strategic position of new materials, focusing on researching and developing product performance, using various additives to modify raw materials, and continuously improving material performance, even endowing materials with new properties. After seven years of repeated experimentation and research, Shengquan Group successfully prepared biomass graphene from corncob straw cellulose and realized the composite of graphene and fiber.
"Graphene can be infinitely stretched, bent to a large angle without breaking, can withstand great pressure, and has extraordinary thermal and electrical conductivity. Therefore, graphene is recognized as the 'new material that will completely change the 21st century'," this is how graphene is described.
However, the large-scale application and industrial development of graphene is a worldwide challenge. "Fibers with added graphene have low-temperature infrared functions, can inhibit bacteria for a long time, and prevent ultraviolet rays," Tang Yilin told reporters. Through efforts, Shengquan achieved the industrialization of graphene, solving the worldwide problems of graphene modification and dispersion. Shengquan successfully developed graphene-modified fibers and clothing, and also realized mass production, thus applying graphene to everyday life.
In May this year, the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology organized experts to appraise the project "Green Mass Preparation Process of Biomass Graphene Materials," and the appraisal opinion was that it reached the international advanced level and was an international innovation.
"After applying graphene to clothing, the clothing gains multiple new properties," Tang Yilin explained. The graphene thermal fiber products of Shengquan Group have been tested by multiple authoritative institutions such as the Wuhan Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute and the Shandong Fiber Inspection Bureau, showing characteristics of far-infrared, long-term antibacterial, UV protection, anti-static, moisture absorption, and breathability.
Tang Yilin revealed that after nearly two years of market research and development, Shengquan Group's biomass graphene is now at the forefront globally, changing traditional clothing concepts and leading the concept of "protective clothing" to "health-promoting clothing."
Currently, more than 200 textile enterprises have cooperated with Shengquan Group, including major companies like Weiqiao Group, Tangshan Sanyou, Shanghai Defulun, China Resources Nylon, and Jilin Chemical Fiber. Shengquan Group has also reached cooperation agreements with several clothing giants such as Erdos, Bosideng, Maniform, Miiow, and Urban Revivo. Graphene-modified fibers are rapidly gaining recognition from textile and clothing companies. According to the 2016 report, Shengquan Group (830881.OC) achieved an operating income of 3.519 billion yuan and a net profit of 485 million yuan. With the innovative product biomass graphene, Shengquan Group achieved 200 million yuan in revenue this year, driving at least 1 billion yuan in market sales.
